What is Play Day?

Play Day is the final event of a senior thesis at the School of Visual Arts. The thesis is called Everything Will Be Okay and uses the idea that people aren’t always looking for a solution to their stress, just reassurance that everything will be okay.

This is the result of research where over 200 people were asked a series of questions including what stresses them out and how they relieve that stress. From that research it was obvious that when people are stressed they try to take their minds off of their stress and focus on something they enjoy. This event will help take people do that and remind them of a more care free time in their life. There will be chalk, bubbles, jump ropes and hopscotch for people to come and play with.
